Prayer Walk March 28 2012

Pray today for women’s equality in the church, and in the home.  Pray for the CBE Houston Conference.  Pray for those who will attend, those who lead, those who speak. Pray for lasting effects from the words that we hear.  Pray for love for Christian women. Pray that women themselves will speak up on their own behalf.

God, we pray for an awakening!

Shepherd of Israel, listen!

You, the one who leads Joseph as if he were a sheep.

You, who are enthroned upon the winged heavenly creatures. Show yourself before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh! Wake up your power! Come to save us!

Restore us, God!

Make your face shine so that we can be saved!

Lord God of heavenly forces, how long will you fume against your people’s prayer?

You’ve fed them bread made of tears; you’ve given them tears to drink three times over!

You’ve put us at odds with our neighbors; our enemies make fun of us.

Restore us, God of heavenly forces! Make your face shine so that we can be saved!

Psalm 80 (Common English Bible)

I, too, have cried out to the God our Creator and asked him why he has held his favor from women.  Why he has put us at odds with our fellow Christians, and why he has allowed our enemies to make fun  of us.

I have pleaded with God and have poured out my heart to him.

Will you join with other Christians on March 28, 2012 and pour out your heart to God and ask him to restore the other half of his creation to the equality that he gave us at the beginning?  Will you step outside your home and pray for God to hear our prayer?  Will you plead with other women and men and groups to take a stand, and on this particular day, March 28, 2012, pray for restoration?

Prayer Walk For Women

In cooperation with Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) Prayer Walk

March 28, 2012

Join Christians everywhere for a Prayer Walk to pray for all barriers to be removed that keeps women from serving God fully as they are called.

Just step outside your home and pray that eyes will be opened and hearts touched and that God will hear our prayer.

We value women and their response to God’s calling in their lives. We will put not put up any more barriers to women serving God fully as she is called.

When one woman is denied leadership in church simply because she was born a woman, all women are denied.   Restrictions against women are nurtured in the church, and bleed out into society, causing women, children, and marriages to suffer.

Please pass this information along to your friends via facebook, twitter, groups, and all social media outlets.

Join with your friends for the Prayer Walk in your neighborhood.

If you will commit to pray this day, or this week, and if you find it in your heart to enlist others to pray for restoration for women, will you please send us your name, or the name of your group, as we join our hearts and our prayers to God?
