November 14, 2014, Christians for Biblical Equality Houston Chapter was honored by Houston Graduate School of Theology (HGST.edu) for our work for women’s equality. We are an official chapter of CBE, founded December 2011. I am one of the founding members.
Houston Graduate School of Theology had their first-ever annual congratulatory event for those who are making a difference in the lives of people (at least that is what I thought I heard Dr James Furr, the president of HGST say). They honored the women who helped found HGST 30 years ago with her husband. The next annual awards will be called the Delbert and Carol Vaughn award. I had my picture made with Carol Vaughn.
The other groups honored for work with women was our group, CBE Houston; Her Call Ministries; and Metamorphosis.
The woman in the red jacket is a Church of Christ preaching minister and is the president of CBE Houston. My husband Don, who started me on this journey for women’s equality, is sitting in a chair. I am the one with the crown on my head (lights) and a beautiful pink pin given to me by someone very special.
Great news. Congratulations. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! We owe much to our president, Ann Bayliss for her contacts and vision, and to Mabel Yin, who gives her heart fully into this work.
