Planning ahead

Mabel and I are excited about the upcoming CBE Conference in Houston on April 27-28 2012.   The website for the conference will be up and running by the end of next week.  We will be accepting reservations at that time. Meanwhile you can visit the CBE website and learn about the speakers at our conference.

The next post will be December 2, 2011.  I am taking some time off to refresh, and to work on the upcoming CBE Houston conference. Also, I want to thank my new subscribers.  I hate taking off just when you came aboard! But I will be back “with a fire in my belly” as always.

There are 241 posts that you can browse through.  Some are very good, some are not so good, but all are from the heart as I seek to spread the word about women’s equality and draw all of you in.

There are some excellent links on this website, so please take a few minutes to check them out.  Tell them that Shirley sent you.

Also, I just added some excellent resources under Free Downloads.

Take a minute to re-read The Seven Brothers.  That was the most fun post to write.  Those Pharisees couldn’t come up with 6 reasons that a woman had to marry her deceased husband’s 6 brothers, but I did!

Other suggestions are:

  • Golden Calf Husbands
  • Egalitarian Relationship – with male veto privilege
  • Sparring with an SBC Pastor
  • Does God call Baptist girls to the ministry?
  • Harmony – a disturbring word
  • Sunday morning escapism
  • Husband, you are no Jesus Christ
  • Who will crown him king?
  • Am I my brother’s keeper?
  • Barking dogs – or literally scripturally

God bless!  See you again December 2, 2011.
